Let the river of life flow
But let's not lie idly low
To save our boat from its blows
For no one knows
When the tide will slow.

Life's jolt ain't a joke
But for some, it takes an age to know
Sure you need a plan to grow
But you've got only one skin to show
So you can't allow it to slough.

Even if life is a rollercoaster of holes
You can still make a bed of roses
If you decide early on to sow
An enduring seed of love
Your path will be easier to toe.
